Good Morning. We are drawing close to the monsoon season, and our thoughts today wander like wayward clouds in the sky, making us wonder whether it will rain wisdom or hope today. Or will the dark clouds lift; making the happy school’s spirits merry today?

Well, Bhss Jr. Section news faction welcomes you back to its weekly news round-up. The news is put on air by C. Remsangpuii and Hmangaihzuali.

Yesterday, class teachers in Bhss junior Section, under the chairmanship of the Vice Principal, had an urgent meeting; discussing about the school management and regulations.

In the meeting, the members made a stern resolution to enforce English speaking environment inside the school campus during school hours. It is reported that four teachers will be appointed for one day, who will take good care of the students and who will put in force English speaking environment in the school campus.

Formative assessment tests are being carried out in different classes in the school. The news faction wishes all the students for big achievement in their studies.

It is sometimes inevitable that we meet with accidents and mishaps. Sir Johny has been absent from the school due to minor injury in his chin and leg as he had crashed in a stone beside the road while driving his scooty. The working staff of Bhss Junior Section and all the students expresses our sympathy for him and the family.

Four lovely female staffs had recently been recruited in our school. Two of them are staying with the KG section and another two are helping class I and class II for now. Happy school welcomes them whole-heartedly, and the news faction is cool about them and we extend our confidence in them by saying that they are the best out of the many.

In spite of enormous disapprovals arising from parents about the early start of school hours, Bhss Junior has so far been doing great in terms of discipline and other features of school administrations. However, premature hungriness and drowsiness starts to engross both the teachers and the students lately.

Flicking through quickly now, About two rooms are supposed to be evacuated soon from the Hostel building for the KG Section. Sir Bta has left the hostel quarters recently, and the hostel will run under the wardenship of Sir Tluangtea for the time being.

Construction of school building is going on and around 9/10 workers are engaged every day for the construction work under the supervision of Mr. Vanlalsiama, our work supervisor.

That’s all from me.

In other news,

Chief Ministers of the seven northeastern states and Sikkim have jointly adopted a resolution to oppose any move by the Centre to abolish the special category status to the backward states, which will deprive them from receiving huge additional central-funds.

The chief ministers have submitted their resolution to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging his “intervention for taking remedial measures.”

The worldwide community of museums had celebrated International Museum Day on 18th May, 2015. This year’s theme for the event was Museums for a sustainable society. The sing-star of Mizoram Rosy K Remsangpuii decided to visit Mizo brothers and sisters in USA where she is invited to present some of her songs in the Chapchar Kut festival to be celebrated in Maryland, US. She told that she was invited to go on a tour in different states in USA and have concerts in those states. She had also been invited before but she declined as she could not get VISA in time. This time, she is happy to report that she could finally get her VISA to visit USA.

The 2015 Billboard Music Award was given away on Monday at MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas. Almost all the top artists worldwide had made their appearance in the function, among which Taylor Swift had become the most popular singer by receiving Six different Awards.

UEFA has picked Cuneyt Cakir of Turkey to referee the Champions League final. Cakir, 38, will officiate as Barcelona face Juventus at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin on June 6 in the Champions league Final.

Two years ago, Cakir drew criticism when he sent off Manchester United winger Nani in a Champions League last-16 loss against Real Madrid.

However, UEFA defended his decision and the official built his reputation at a successful World Cup. FIFA selected him to handle the Argentina-Netherlands semifinal in Brazil.

The news faction is happy to see that our listeners pay their undivided attention while listening to our news items. We are also happy to say that we will be back on next Thursday with fascinating news. Our time with you ends here. Have a nice Day. For now, bye bye.

Good Morning. Bhss Jr. Section news faction welcomes you back to its weekly news round-up. This morning, we will hear some of the local news and world news at a glance. The cumulative heat and parched air in the southern part of Mizoram show no mercy upon the people. However, in spite of the hot weather, the Happy school is moving on with its daily routines. Classes are regular so far.

Hello once again, I am   C.Lalnunpuii , sitting with me here is Lalrindiki Renthlei.

Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma has been transferred and appointed the Governor of Mizoram. He will be serving till his term ends in 2018. He is the seventh Governor the state saw in a year.

The frequent changes in Mizoram governorship began in July 2014, when V Purushothaman resigned after being transferred to neighbouring Nagaland, saying he was not consulted.

The Aizawl District Court rejected the bail petition made by Mr NgurthantluangaSanate, who was nabbed by the Mizoram Police at Silchar last month.
Mr Ngurthantluanga Sanate said that he is a civilian and is not a cadre of HPC(D) and asked for bail. However, Chief Judicial Magistrate of the Aizawl District Court Mrs Sylvie Z. Ralte rejected the plea, claiming that the judgment for refusal for bail is a regular procedure which is also in accordance with the Supreme Court’s way of judgment.

Mizoram Police on Friday morning shot dead the HPCD militant believed to have led the ambush on an MLA convoy that killed three policemen at the end of March this year. H C Malsawmkima (31) alias Danny, a “Sergeant” of the Zosangbera faction of the Manipur-based Hmar People’s Convention Democratic was killed in an encounter around 6 a.m. at Tiaulian village in Manipur.

A powerful earthquake jolted mountainous Nepal on Tuesday, killing at least 66 people, including 17 in India and one in Chinese Tibet,  bringing down buildings and triggering landslide less than three weeks after a devastating temblor left a swathe of destruction in the Himalayan nation.

Youngsters in Aizawl are likely to have their dreams come true as the Delhi-based Korean Culture Centre, India (KCCI) is planning a K-Pop (short for Korean Pop music) concert in the Mizoram state capital. The KCCI has sent an intimation to the Mizoram government for holding an extravaganza in Aizawl this summer featuring famed Korean pop stars, an official statement said last week.

In other news…

Singing sensation Zayn Malik, while asserting he loves his fans, has asked them to not abuse him for fighting with his former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson. The 22-year-old musician, who quit the band this March, slammed Tomlinson after he indulged in a war of words with producer Naughty Boy, who is working with Malik on his solo material. The ugly Twitter spat invited wrath of the fans for Malik. Upset over the criticism, he tweeted:

Aizawl FC authored a new chapter in Indian football by qualifying for the top tier of the I-League after emerging champions in the second division with a round to spare in Golaghat, Assam, on Wednesday. Aizawl FC beat state-rivals Chanmari FC 4-2 in the penultimate round to take their tally to 31 points from 13 matches. With LoneStar Kashmir FC playing out a 1-1 draw against Kenkre Sports in another match, Aizawl FC sealed their berth in the 2015-16 I-League on Wednesday itself.

Eden Hazard was named England’s Footballer of the Year on Tuesday after his consistently outstanding performances throughout the season helped Chelsea win the Premier League title. Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane was second in the voting by members of the English Football Writers Association with Hazard’s Chelsea club mate and captain John Terry third. The 24-year-old Belgian international midfielder adds the award to the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) honour he collected last month and becomes the first player from his country to claim the accolade since it was launched in 1948.

Floyd Mayweather said in an upcoming interview with Showtime that at this moment he’s not interested in a rematch with Manny Pacquiao “because he’s a sore loser and he’s a coward.” Asked if he thought Pacquiao was hampered by the right shoulder injury that later required surgery, Mayweather tells Jim Gray, “Absolutely not.”

Rapper Kanye West has become the recipient of an advanced college degree after officials at the school of the Art Institute of Chicago in Illinois awarded him an honorary doctorate. The 37-year-old Chicago native quit school to pursue a career in hip-hop and even named his debut album The College Dropout to acknowledge the fact, reported the New York Daily News. Wearing a traditional cap and gown, West gave a brief speech to his fellow graduates after he was handed the honorary diploma.

Summer is the stuff of dreams. When adults sit at their desks, and children sit in school, they dream of summer. Summer is the time of infinite fun. The day seems to last forever, and the fun never stops. Have a fun day… For now, bye bye.

7th May,2015

20150508102624After a long break due to unprompted settings, Bhss junior section News broadcasting board has been back on track, and the news faction welcomes you all to this New Session. I am P. Liandingpuii, sitting here with me is R.Lalhruaizela. The turn-out in the election to the village councils in the six districts of Mizoram and local councils within the Aizawl Municipal Council held on Thursday was over 70 percent. Deputy Inspector General of Police, LT Hrangchal said the polling was completely peaceful without any untoward incidents. Elections were held in 498 out of 536 village councils and 82 out of 83 local councils in Aizawl city. Mizo missionaries in quake-ravaged Nepal decided they wanted to stay back to help those in need, Baptist Church of Mizoram General Secretary Rev H Lianngaia said that they had informed two of their missionaries that they could return, but they declined the offer, saying they have to look after the church members in time of crisis. There were over 50 Mizo families in Nepal working as Christian missionaries, which included seven ordained pastors of the Presbyterian Church, one Baptist church pastor and one Salvation Army Officer. The government of Mizoram led by Chief Minister Lalthanhawla proposed changes to the school timings in the state. According to the Parliamentary Secretary Joseph Lalhimpuia, the main reason for the proposed change to an earlier start is “education policy”. In his speech at the ruling party’s office in Lunglei, he said that the society needs to conform to the government’s education policy and not the education system conforming to society’s practice. He further said that the people needs to be willing to rearrange their life – what time they sleep, what time they get up, what they eat and so on. Meanwhile, people in the southern part of Mizoram are facing many problems due to the abrupt change in school timings, which gave rise to public rage, and indignation in many parts of the state. Results for High School Leaving Certificate 2015 under MBSE was published on the 29th of last month. Jennifer Vanrammawii d/o R.Lalbiaktluanga, Baptist Higher Secondary School, Serkawn stood first in HSLC Exam 2015, we also have C. Lalnunfeli from our school who stood third in this exam. Strangely enough, they are the only females among the top ten lists. The news faction is proud to air the success of our students and we wish them oodles of great achievement in their future years. In sports… Chelsea clinched the Premier League title on Sunday in a manner that may seem to sum up their season: with six defenders on the field, systematically wasting time as it protected a 1-0 lead that came from a scruffy first-half goal. Eden Hazard scored that goal with a header off the rebound of his own, horrible penalty kick. “Lucky, lucky,” Hazard told Sky TV. Yet really there was nothing lucky about Chelsea’s victory over Crystal Palace, or its fourth title in a decade. A dismal fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao probably drew more than 4 million pay-per-view buys at 100 dollars apiece. The Kentucky Derby, with a field said to be one of the strongest of the last several decades, lured a record crowd of more than one and a half lakh to Churchill Downs stadium and was watched by 16 million others on TV. The great fight ended in an ironic winning belt given away to Mayweather who was believed to be on the losing side throughout the big match. To end the news for this morning, let me add that our school has just been installing CCTV around the school campus under the direction and supervision of our Vice Principal. It is hoped that installation of CCTV will greatly ease the guarding job been performed by some of the staff members. Happy children and teachers, thank you for hearing the news. The news is broadcasted on behalf of BHSS Junior Section for its happy children and working staff, lovely parents and anyone willing to be counted inside this humble family. Please visit www.bhssjr.com for more information. That’s our website. For now, bye bye.
