News 18th June, 2015

Welcome back to Bhss Junior morning news. I am Lawmzeli Ralte of class VI. This morning, we have Lalhlimpuii of class VII with us; she will read some of the news after me.
BHSS Junior Section is growing in different shapes. And, we see certain improvements in terms of English speaking, school building construction works and also academically. In the meantime, there are several changes made in classrooms and other room’s allocation. KG II classroom is extended and now they are in two sections, one section occupying the same room and another section are shifted to the previously Hostel Warden Quarters. Hostel Cook, Mr. Karan’s room is also shifted nearby the present Warden’s room and his previous room is extended a bit more, which will be used for storing goods and furniture. Likewise, we have new Mid-Day Meal Kitchen under construction down the school office, and the previous kitchen is prepared to be occupied by KG I students. There are several workers in the construction works, and let us not forget that they need our support and prayer.
Six of our teachers are unable to join us in the school for this whole week as D.L Ed examination is being held in DIET Lunglei. Fortunately, this year we have six of our teachers engaging in teacher training course, and, as said earlier, let us remember them in our prayer. Delectable, sweet and lovely teachers are coming in place of some of these training teachers, the news faction, as always, is very happy to see them working happily here in the school during their short stay.
An alumni of this school, C. Lallianzuala, the person interviewed in the school last week, also one of the sons of Sir. Hriata, was recently selected to give trial in Under 19 Indian National team. The news faction is very proud to announce his entry into National Team, and the school community also wishes him success in his career.
Sworn-in function for newly elected Class representatives and Campus duties amongst the students was held during morning assembly last Wednesday. The function was presided over by L. Lalrotluanga (Sir. Tluangtea), who also conducted the oath-taking ceremony. Badges were given to each Campus duties by Vice Principal. Middle section Class representatives were given Captain badges, conducted by Miss H. Ramdinthangi (Miss Madini), Supervisor, Middle School section. Primary section captains were given their badges by Supervisor, Miss C. Lalawmpuii (Miss Mapuii).

Lunglei District Football Association and HPC Lunglei jointly organized 5th HPC Tournament at Thuamluaia Mual, Lunglei starting from 16th June. The official kick-off was inaugurated by Chief Guest Pu. Chalrosanga Ralte ZENICS Chairman and MLA, Lunglei West Constituency. He addressed the audience by saying that Lunglei district is very fortunate to have High Power Committee, and he added by extending his hope for the success of the tournament. More than fifty teams were taking oath for the tournament, which was led by National player Lalrindika Ralte (Didika). The first match was played on the same evening between Lunglawn and Venghlun teams.
Chelsea will begin their Premier League title defence with a home game against Swansea on the weekend of 8 to 9th August.
Manchester City, who finished eight points adrift of the Blues, travel to West Brom while Manchester United face Tottenham at Old Trafford.
Arsenal host West Ham, Liverpool go to Stoke, Newcastle play Southampton and Leicester welcome Sunderland.
Rafael Nadal made an early exit at Queen’s Club with a three-set defeat by unseeded Ukrainian Alexandr Dolgopolov.
The Spanish fifth seed led by a break in the final set but went down 6-3 6-7 (6-8) 6-4 in round one of the Aegon Championships.
Nadal, 29, had arrived in London following victory at the Stuttgart grass-court event on Sunday.
French Open champion Stan Wawrinka and title holder Grigor Dimitrov both progressed.
